Phoenix - Siobhan Conneff

Siobhan Conneff

While the previous image was uncertainly possibly referencing a picture in People of Pern, this one definitely is. The pose was inspired by Robin Wood's painting of Mirrim upon her impression to green Path, and certainly the dress's embroidery work and shadowing on the sleeves and such goes back to the original. However, her face is definitely different from Siobhan's here. Once again, curly hair, not the best of efforts, but at least you can tell it's meant to be curly. I like Siobhan's eyes. She's playing a bodhran, a traditional Irish drum, and due to her namesake, I put a not-so-great image of a phoenix on the actual drum, much like how my RL bodhran has a painted design on it, my Mystic Phoenix logo, in fact. I'm not entirely enthused with how Siobhan's hand with the tipper in it came out, although I did pose that one myself to try and get it figured out how a tipper would be held... I think I probably just didn't use the right kind of tipper, and I also didn't want to spend too much space obscuring the phoenix behind it.
