This series of images focuses on Jerilyn Darius-Quest in a pose taken from a Jim Lee card of Lilandra from the X-Men series. This page includes five different images to show how an image sometimes has to be redone. The first two are the same image, and the last three are another image in its three stages. I decided I didn't like the first image very well once I'd inked it, so I tried again and got one I liked. About the only thing I like more on the first series than the second one is the hard black metallic lines on the metallic bits of her costume. I love a lot of the shading work that went into the colored piece, making things like her right-hand glove seen more 3D and all, also the reds subtly picking out the strands of her hair. As for the outfit itself, it really is mostly my own creation, something more suitable to an active politician versus a superhero, with touches of runic designs probably inspired by anime or maybe Joe Madureira's work (who was inspired by anime). I do know the thingy on her face is inspired by a character named Adora from the Nova books.
