This is a photoshopped copy of Rachel Summers as Phoenix from an issue of Excalibur, Alan Davis' last issue, in fact. This was a test of the blue/silver color scheme and also how I could manage to rework existing images, since my copying skills back then weren't all that great. I particularly like the gradient on the silver Phoenix on her chest. And of course, this was before I had Jerilyn be a true redhead, so she's got the strawberry blonde thing going on here. The graininess of the image is due to using an old crappy paint program to make the changes and also the original image being saved several times and messing with the jpeg artifacts. Bleh.
