Marvel Girl - Jean Grey

This is one of those series of artworks that show the progression from pencils to completion. The reference was a shot of Jean Grey in her red X-Factor costume when she was talking to Sue Richards about the existence of Rachel Summers and rejecting the whole notion that there's this daughter from the future who's also Scott's daughter, like her life was chosen for her and that she had no say in anything. The original image was drawn by Art Adams, one of my favorite comic book artists. I really like the shadows in this one and the flow of the lines in her hair. On the downside, I don't like everything about her hair, particularly the arching line at the top that gives her hair its shape and the coloring job in all the reds. I like her eyes.
