This is a photomanipulation, and probably the one I'm most proud of. The base image is a photo I took of a fire at the Yesfans party in Blue Ash, Ohio, in 04. The fire seemed to suggest the basic bird-shape, so I went in with the Smudge tool in Photoshop and stretched out the lines and colors to flesh out the wings and head, with a touch of red for the eye. I use a smaller edition of this image as one of my LJ and MySpace icons.
